No Purchase Necessary — Free Sweeps Coins by Operator
US sweepstakes law requires every sweepstakes casino to offer a free way to obtain Sweeps Coins (the redeemable currency). It's called the AMOE — Alternate Method of Entry. Here's how to use it at every operator we cover.
Why this page exists
Sweepstakes casinos are legal in most US states (except those listed in our cease-and-desist tracker: see the legality map) precisely because they comply with promotional sweepstakes rules: consideration cannot be required to enter. That's the AMOE. If an operator hides their AMOE or makes it hard to use, they're out of compliance and we won't cover them.

How to request by mail
- Get a 3×5 inch index card (or similar handwritten card).
- Write your full name, address, email, and date of birth.
- Add the operator's required request phrase (verify in their ToS — usually “Sweeps Coins Request”).
- Mail to the operator-specific address above. One request per envelope per the operator's rules.
- Allow 14-30 days for processing. SC will be credited to your account.
Always read the operator's current Terms of Service for the exact wording, format, and request limits — these rules change.
Editorial note
The AMOE is the legal foundation that lets sweepstakes casinos operate in the US. Using it costs you a stamp and a bit of time, but it's genuinely free play — no obligation, no minimum purchase. The daily free SC bonuses from most operators are also a way to test gameplay without spending. We recommend either route over buying Gold Coins unless you're genuinely entertained.
