Pot odds calculator
Calculate pot odds and hand equity for drawing decisions. The calculator uses the rule-of-2-and-4 shortcut for estimating equity from outs and computes required equity from the standard pot-odds formula. Useful for evaluating flush and straight draws, pair-improvement spots, and other one-card-completion situations.
Flush draw = 9 outs · open-ended straight = 8 · gutshot = 4 · flush+gutshot = 12

Recommendation
Profitable call
Your equity exceeds the required equity by 11.0 percentage points on pot odds alone. Implied odds may make the call even more profitable; reverse implied odds may reduce the edge if you make a non-nut hand.
Math reference
- Required equity to call: bet / (pot + 2 × bet). With a pot of $100 and a bet of $50, required equity is 50 / (100 + 100) = 25%.
- Hand equity (rule of 2 and 4): On the flop with two cards to come, equity ≈ outs × 4. On the turn with one card to come, equity ≈ outs × 2.
- Common out counts: flush draw = 9 outs · open-ended straight = 8 · gutshot = 4 · flush+gutshot = 12 · two overcards on a low board = 6 outs to pair.
- Implied odds account for additional money you expect to win on later streets if your draw hits. They make marginal pot-odds-unprofitable calls profitable when the opponent will pay off on later streets.
- Reverse implied odds account for the money you might lose if you hit your draw but your opponent has a better hand. They reduce the value of marginal non-nut draws.
