How to cash out from Polymarket (withdraw your USDC)
To cash out from Polymarket, withdraw your USDC from Polymarket to your self-custody wallet on Polygon, send it to an exchange that supports Polygon USDC, sell it for dollars, and withdraw to your bank. Because Polymarket is non-custodial, your funds are always in your control — there's no withdrawal approval queue, just on-chain transfers. Here's the full path and the fees to expect.

Step 1 — Withdraw USDC from Polymarket to your wallet
On Polymarket, withdraw your USDC balance to your connected self-custody wallet on the Polygon network. This is an on-chain transfer that settles in seconds for a few cents — there's no manual approval because Polymarket never custodies your funds.
Step 2 — Send USDC to an exchange
From your wallet, send the USDC to a deposit address at an exchange that supports USDC on Polygon (e.g. Coinbase or Kraken). Critically, select the Polygon network on BOTH sides — sending Polygon USDC to an Ethereum-only address can lose funds. Send a small test amount first if you're unsure.
Step 3 — Sell USDC for dollars and withdraw
On the exchange, sell USDC for USD (or your local currency) — since it's a dollar stablecoin the rate is ~1:1 minus a small spread. Then withdraw to your linked bank account by ACH/SEPA/wire. Bank withdrawals typically take 1–3 business days.
Keep records for tax time
Each step is an on-chain or exchange transaction your tax authority can see. Log your withdrawals and resolutions, or connect your wallet to crypto tax software so it's reconstructed automatically. See our taxes guide.
FAQ
How long does a Polymarket withdrawal take?
The on-chain part (Polymarket → your wallet → exchange) settles in seconds to minutes on Polygon. The slow step is the final bank withdrawal from the exchange, which usually takes 1–3 business days.
What does it cost to cash out?
Polygon network fees are a few cents. The exchange may charge a small spread when you sell USDC and possibly a fiat-withdrawal fee. There's no Polymarket withdrawal fee because it's non-custodial.
Can I cash out Polymarket in the US?
Polymarket restricts US users. If you're outside its restrictions, the cash-out path above applies. Always verify your local rules; WeeBet is editorial and doesn't accept wagers.
